Mimnoks Raid Rules
« on: May 08, 2009, 11:14:27 AM »

Attendance:
You are expected to show up to a minimum of 80% of raids held.  If you do not meet this minimum, expect to be sat out for trial members or greater.
Some days will carry more weight more than others.  Currently those days are Thursdays through Monday (due to Tuesday and Wednesday being required to clear through non progression bosses).  Expect to be sat out for raiders who take the initiative to show up for progression days/raids on a night with an abundance of raiders online.

Raid expectations:

Raid Times:
Raids are from 7pm to 11pm server time.  You do not have to stay the entire time.  With that said, if you are going to leave, you need to give the raid leader a 30 minute notice, your class leader 30 min notice, and make a REASONABLE EFFORT to find an equivalent replacement.  (I.E.) A healer cannot find a prot warrior for a replacement.  Emergencies happen, and will be taken into consideration but should be VERY rare.  AFK's should be a rare occasion.  We give scheduled break times and you are expected to make full use of them.  If you need to go AFK in the middle of a raid, then your Class Lead or an Officer should be informed of such.  Failure to comply with the above may result in a minus of DKP.

Raid Invites:
When invites start, you either join the raid, or run the risk of a DKP minus / kicked from the guild.  Invites are the same time every day.  We will not "hold on" while you finish anything.  If you are online, you are expected to raid.

Performance:
If you are a DPS class, you are expected to keep up with the majority of the rest of your DPS  class members.  If you are a healer you are expected to keep up with the healing of your fellow healers.  Those who are not performing up to standards with the rest of their like peers will be replaced.  We need good players, not warm bodies.  Obviously there are some exceptions (mage on CC duty, support specs, etc.) that will always be taken into consideration.  "I'm Sleepy" is not an excuse for your failure to perform.

Specs:
Your spec should be for PVE.  Your secondary spec is your own to do with, but we may ask that it be used to support the raid.  Get with your class leaders to review your spec if you need assistance or guidance.

25 Man Pugs:
Do NOT run any 25 man raids, without first getting the approval from an officer.  If you are saved to a raid that we are trying to run, you will lose DKP or be kicked from the guild.

Vent Conduct:
Vent chatter should be at a minimum.  Chatting with friends in vent is ok prior to raid start.  At raid start time, its business.  If you do not have something extremely important to the success of the raid, you should not be talking in vent.

Guild rank:

Trial:  An individual just invited to the guild.  This status gives us a means to gauge performance and demeanor.  DKP and attendance will be earned only while on raids.  Standby DKP will never be given, but it will be noted that the trial member was sat out (for the purpose of promoting to full guild member).

Alt/Friend  (Subject to change):  Guild alts and friends of raider status or greater guild members will receive this rank.  This rank will not receive items over the ranks of raider or greater.  Alt/Friend will not be expected to raid and as such, should not expect to raid in return.

Raider:  A full member that is expected to raid on scheduled raid nights.  A minimum of 70% raid attendance is required in order to maintain this rank.

Core Raider (Subject to change):  A full member who has high attendance and is of extreme quality / necessity to the guild.  Core raid member s will benefit from extra access to the guild bank and guaranteed raid slots.  Class leads (if applicable) will play a large role in getting a promotion to core raider.

Class Lead:  A full raid member who meets core raider standards with a full understanding of their class.  Class leads are responsible for maintaining minimum requirements of guild members for  their class.  Class leads will benefit from added access to the guild bank over core raiders and extra input in raids.

DKP & Item Distribution:
We currently operate on a zero sum DKP system.  Quite literally, it means that DKP spent is DKP earned.  When an item is given to a raid member, he or she is charged a certain sum of DKP which is then split amongst members of the raid evenly. (I.E.)  If a raid member spends 250 DKP on item X and there are 25 raid members, each member will receive 10 DKP for that item.  You must be in raid for a minimum of half its duration in order to receive DKP for that raid.

Loot Priority:
  • Elder Council will have the ability to default loot as appropriate for guild progression.
  • Elder Council has the ability to grant Core Raiders loot priority over lower ranks.

Two Month Retention:
Raids are valid for 2 months.  This means that two months after a raid was held, that raid will be zeroed out (DKP earned will be taken, and DKP spent will be refunded)  The raid will remain for overall attendance record keeping.

Standby DKP
It is entirely at the discretion of the raid leader if standby DKP is to be given and more importantly who it is given to.  It would be safe to assume that if you are of raider status (or higher) and show up for the majority of progression raids, you will be receiving standby DKP if sat out of the raid.

Bonus DKP & Guild bank:
Bonus DKP will be given entirely at the discretion of the raid leader.  Since we are on a Zero sum DKP system this DKP will obviously have to come from somewhere; the guild bank.  The guild bank will always be counted as a member of any particular raid.  DKP earned from these events as guild bank can be spent as bonus DKP (i.e. progression nights where a boss is not downed).

Offspec gear & Alts (Subject to change):
Off Spec gear will be given out, at 0 DKP cost.  The deciding factor of who gets the off spec gear, will be based on how often we use that raider's off spec for raids, guild rank and then attendance.  The ultimate deciding factor being the Elder Council.  Alts will always come after mains unless that main falls under the rank of raider.

Item Cost:
The following is how we currently determine the cost of an item.  Keep in mind, this is subject to change:
Quote
The calculation is based around the fact that the quality of an item will decide some of the price:

     Blue      = (itemLevel - 1.84) / 1.6
     Epic      = (itemLevel - 1.3) / 1.3
ilvl 100 gives:

     Blue      = 61
     Epic      = 75

This is the factor which you base your cost on. Secondly you have a slot mod which is a factor that deal with items getting less item budget based on slot.

     head = 1
     neck =  0.54
     shoulder = 0.74
     chest = 1
     waist = 0.74
     legs = 1
     feet = 0.74
     wrist = 0.54
     hand = 0.74
     finger = 0.54
     trinket = 0.68
     cloak = 0.54
     weapon = 1
     shield = 0.65
     2h weapon = 1.5
     MH weapon = 1
     OH weapon = 1
     off hand = 0.52
     bow/xbow/gun = 1.5
     wand = 0.50
     relic = 0.30
This is multiplied with the base cost from item level and quality. A epic, ilvl 100 2h sword will be:

     DKP = (itemLevel - 1.3) / 1.3 * 1.5
     DKP = 112.5
Pricing is limited to armor and weapons, but stuff like tabards and thrown weapons are not included.
If an epic MH wep. was won by an individual we would charged:
239 / 1.3 * 1= 183.85.

Legendary Items
Many factors will play a part in obtaining a legendary weapon.  DKP, attendance, guild history and even guild worth will all play a part when the decision is finally made on who recieves a legendary weapon.  Legendary weapons are exceptional items and will be treated as such when they are handed out.

PVP Gear
PVP gear has no bearing on guild progression and as such it will be treated as a toy or a bonus drop.  All PVP gear will be rolled on at a zero DKP cost.  A minimum of  75% raid attendance attendance will be required to roll on any PVP gear that drops during raid.
